Donations
At a minimum, my hope is that this site will be self-supporting. That is to say that I hope it will generate as much income as it costs to maintain. However, my method for meeting this goal is not intended to be donations. So why accept donations at all?
Unlike most other site’s, having long-time readers at this site would be viewed as a bad thing. A long-time reader is, in some ways, a sign that this site is failing to deliver to meet its primary goal: helping people find success in online dating. A person who uses the site and finds someone they love to spend their time with (and possibly the rest of their life) no longer has a reason to read. Because of this, one of the standard metrics for blog success is of no value to me and in many ways would display as much failure as success.
With that in mind, I hope that anyone who feels that this site played a major role in their online dating success would consider donating. No one else. Someone who simply appreciates the time I put into the site but has no success should not donate. Doing so would be rewarding nothing more than long-windedness.
